My 19 month old has been climbing out his cot for a few weeks now a snuggle chair is next to his cot very small room so can't be moved. Has anyone put their 19 month old in a toddler bed with a duvet before no pillow?

My DD is 2.5 and still in a cot, but she's had a toddler pillow since she was about a year old. We got the IKEA one. Have you baby proofed the room?

We have toddler bed with sides on. If he is desperate he can climb out but doesn’t really. He has a duvet and pillow in there. We will go to a travel cot before taking the sides off

Room is as safe as possible. I have a snuggle chair in there and I'm thinking I remove it then he won't be anoe to climb out as the lands on this. But I am also thinking as he knows getting out is fun he might just go for it and hurt himself on the way down. He's tall and his chest is above the cot bar and it can't be lowered anymore. He was up for 2 hours last night just wanting to play I have a gate on his room. I sat with him for a but had to go feed my little one and came back and he had fallen asleep on floor. If he had a toddler bed he might have got back in and went to sleep. It's so hard to know what to do for best as he is still so young but he looks more like a 3 year old

If he’s started climbing out then it’s probably a losing battle and removing the chair next to the bed will just mean he has a bigger drop! So yes time for a toddler bed! DS was also a climber and went into a bed, with a bed guard, at 15 months. They can have a duvet and pillow from age 1 if you want (we swapped to the toddler pillow and duvet from ikea) but equally they can have a sleeping bag with feet in a bed up to ~age 3. However they’re comfortable and whatever keeps them sleeping well!!
