Until my daughter started the pre school room she would wake around 7am, nap for around 45 mins around 1 and be in bed at 7.45 and fall asleep 15-30 mins later.

Then her nursery merged with another in a new building and she went up to the preschool room where she didn’t have many of her familiar practitioners and she stopped napping at nursery. First few weeks she would still nap at home but after that would get hysterical if we tried to take her up for a nap and spend the whole time running around the room crying. So we stopped altogether. We then had little period of her sleeping 7-7 but then that stopped and we then had a few weeks of her crying at bedtime, randomly in the night and on wake up (she started waking earlier then usual) and she was saying she was scared and kept opening the wardrobe to look in.

Luckily the crying has mainly stopped and she’s going to bed easily but she’s been waking up earlier and earlier. Currently it’s 5.45. Sometimes she’ll cry out but generally she’ll walk around the room, stand there looking at the hatch waiting for it to go green, or sit in bed waiting for it to go green. I usually go and get her 6.30/45 and turn the hatch green manually before I go in. She’s going to bed around 7.15/30 so would expect her to be able to sleep to 6.30-7 now she doesn’t nap. Or am I expecting to much? Or should I try a later bedtime but it’s hard to push her with the early wakes? They have just gradually been creeping earlier and earlier. A few weeks ago she would at least get to 6.15/30.

Maybe it’s just a phase now she’s realised she can get out of her bed? Developmental? Adjusting to no nap? I’m a bit clueless as what to do to try to try and fix it but it’s been 6/7 weeks now. I keep telling her to stay in bed and go back to sleep
until the light is green but that’s not working.

Just curious if anyone has experienced anything similar and how it was fixed and what your no nap schedule are?
