21 month sleep regression??

Hello, I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar…

My DD is 21 months and we’ve been very lucky with her sleep, she settles herself well without the need of help and generally sleeps well (most days) at nursery too.

However we’ve recently been facing a few challenges. Over the past couple of weeks she has only been doing very short naps (about 20 mins) at nursery before waking up really upset and needing to be consoled. She then will not got back to sleep and whilst she seems happy enough for the rest of the day, is understandably very emotional and tired when we get home. She doesn’t seem to do this at home, though she is waking up earlier than usual and has been crying in her sleep at night more too.

We did recently go on holiday (where she slept ok) but have been back for 3 weeks now so not sure if it is still an effect of that? Desperately hoping it is just a phase as she is just so tired and grumpy as a result of not getting enough and I don’t know how to help.

My daughter was a bit like this when cutting her molars.
