Help! 4 month old not sleeping because of gas!

My 4 1/2 month old is finding it really hard to sleep at the moment. He goes to sleep fine but seems to wake up for a feed 3/4
hrs later and then won’t burp. I eventually put him down and he sometimes goes but then wakes up wiggling 3 mins later. I then seem to spend 2/3 hrs trying to burp him. Eventually he goes back to sleep but it seems the nights are really disrupted at the moment. He does randomly sleep for 6 hrs straight some nights but mostly it’s every 1/2 hrs or not at all. I am doing lots of tummy massages and bicycle legs during the day and keeping him up right too. I went to the GP who suggested infant gaviscon so I tried this but he now seems really constipated and hasn’t pooed for 5 days so have stopped it. I also don’t know if he’s teething as he frantically wants to suck on his hands / muslin / my clothes.
Any advice please?!!

have you tried infacol or gripe water i found one worked for one baby while the other worked for my second .Each baby is different you may need to try a few different things, also sitting mine in a vibrate chair also helped one of them with gas

One of mine was the same, was in so much pain with wind. I was breastfeeding, and I cut out dairy and within less than a week it all stopped. Cows milk protein allergy is frequently missed, many babies suffer from it. If you are breastfeeding, cut out dairy and soya (40% of cmpa babies are also allergic to soya) if not breastfeeding, try and allergy milk. I'm not sure what the non soya alternatives are.
