PLEASE HELP!

3 month old will only nap for 30-40 mins unless out in car or pram! Then wakes up crying and clearly still tired! Have dd who is almost 3 and a very noisy toddler! Have tried white noise, rocking in pram in kitchen and in next to me all to no avail!

im at my witts end with the constant cycle of crap nap crying then too tired to suck her bottle!

Do you have a baby carrier? If so, I would carry baby in that most of the time or do skin to skin, At that age, still in the fourth trimester and will want contact with mum.

I’ve been through this on and off with my boy.
Went through phases of being ok with napping in his basket, then wouldn’t be put down whatsoever for a bit, then was fine again and slept well in his cot for naps, now again at 5 months won’t stay asleep for more than 30/40 mins unless he sleeps on or next to me during the day.
There are so many developmental changes that can affect their sleep, I think you just have to ride out each phase. I don’t have a toddler though, which I appreciate will be making it a lot harder for you!
I didn’t enjoy the newborn stage either - don’t feel guilty

My little boy only napped 30 mins at a time, he consolidated his naps at some point around 8 months IIRC. I know it's so difficult - I always felt I was trying to get him to go to sleep. It helps to remember everything is a phase..!
