10 month old adding a feed at night

Hi all, looking for some advice/reassurance. My DS is 10 months old. Previously he's been a good sleeper and was down to just one feed a night at around 3/4am. The last three weeks he's gone through a regression and seems to have added a feed at around 11pm. If we don't give him that extra feed we are up every 45 mins to help him settle and he's usually quite upset. But with it he seems to settle until his previous usual feed at 3/4am.

He's bottle fed and has been since 3/4 months old as milk never came in properly. He's also a very big baby 😅 and already has breakfast/lunchl/dinner and snacks plus 4 bottles a day so I don't think it's calories. But maybe it is?

I'm not expecting him to go 7-7 or anything but it seems a bit odd that he's wanting an extra feed and can't settle without it. Any advice? My current plan is just to ride it out until he's in a better sleeping pattern, and just always try to settle him without milk first and go back in if he's still very upset.

I had this with my DD and I just did the extra feed and after some time she stopped it.

Honestly I’d just go with it, quick bottle then back to sleep. Only now at 14 months is my little one completely night weaned.

There is a sleep regression at around 9 months so it could just be that.

It might be worth upping his snacks too. So not giving him extra snacks but looking in the snacks more as small meals like a little sandwich with some raw veg on the side, a round of cheese on toast with some halved cherry tomatoes or a one egg omelette.

@MamaChicken How are things going? I’m going through something similar with my 7 month old
