6 month old… hysterical feeding and sleep!

when the doctors and health visitors aren’t helping last resort is strangers on the internet!

6 month old daughter has for the past two weeks of being completely off the bottle, hysterical when trying to feed and trying to get her down (other than pushed or in car) is just met with blood curdling screams!

she will eventually eat… as we all know they won’t starve themselves. But it’s so heartbreaking to watch. Doctors are working through all the reflux meds (so far nothing working)

with regards to sleep, she’s in her own room, but just walking her upstairs in daylight it’s as if she knows she’s going to bed. When she’s down she’s great! Not waking multiple times etc… but the anguish to get there, like a light bulb goes off and she’s perfectly happy to inconsolable.

we have stuck to a routine, we have the white noise, the comforter, dummies etc etc nothing is cutting it! hot/cold Calpol/teething… there’s not a box that hasn’t been ticked!

can anyone help or give me some ideas! When she’s distracted and busy playing we are great! You have never seen a happier baby. Food and sleep? It’s chaos.

How does she actually fall asleep? Do you rock/pat/sing? Is she crying going to sleep?

We rock (while crying) and then bottle and she feeds… or sometimes test by putting down (while she is crying) and she’s so tired she passes out.

neither very nice

Have you started weaning?
Up to now she’s not shown signs of reflux etc??

She’s not interested at all. Tried baby rice etc. shows no interest

reflux just started… but starting to think is it? Or just the back arching is her being upset

I’m no expert but it seems strange that she’s shown no sign of reflux before now when she is just eating what’s she’s always eaten.
And no signs of teething or illness?
Are you persisting with trying small amounts of solids or have you been advised to wait?
