Sleep issues

Hello, we decided to take away our little lads dummy, he is 10 months. He was being put down sleepy and we either held his hand or rubbed his back and he drifted off. But now he won't stop screaming until being picked up and then sleeps on us, we manage to put him down and he does sleep fairly well. But feel like maybe we need some helpful tricks to get him to lie down again. His vibe is no longer relaxed and as soon as we approach his crib to lay him down he kicks off. Did anyone manage the dummy removal seamlessly, worth continuing or cave?

Hello, my eldest had his dummy until around 2 and a half, at which point “the dummy fairy” came, took away all his dummies(which he adored) and left him a balance bike in return. The transition was pretty seamless, but obviously your baby is very much younger and would not get the exchange aspect of this. There’s no way I could’ve contemplated taking the dummy away that young—more power to you!
