How to get baby into nap routine? (4 months)

Yes, it's probably too early to be worrying about this, but my four-month-old is sleeping through the night and I don't know what I should expect sleep-wise during the day. After nine-ten hours at night, how many naps 'should' a baby be having-- and of what length? How do you get a baby into a routine? Should there even be a routine?

They fall into a routine naturally around 6 months. And if your baby is sleeping through the night I really wouldn't worry too much about a routine. Routines are usually to aid babies for better sleep at night.

Agreed, we found that a routine had just kind of come about at 6 months or so, it was all over the place at 4 months (bloody sleep regression) but then a rhythm started to happen. Followed every few months to a transition to one less nap than before! Our 22 month old is on one nap now. At about 6 months I think we were on 3 naps a day but i can't really remember, i did follow the advice on huckleberry about wake windows xx
