4 month old leg thumping in sleep

Since 12 weeks my LO started active sleeping. Thankfully his loud grunts and groans have stopped however he is now 4.5 months old and his leg thrashing/thumping in his cot is yet to end. Has anyone else had this? We’re so exhausted, we wear earplugs but his thrashing soon makes him wake up and we’re resorting to just putting him in our bed

Mine is 5.5 months and still thrashes, he also likes to lift both legs together and slam them down. He sleeps through it fine though, just keeps me awake!

It’s a phase he will grow out of.

My 4.5 month old started doing this the last few weeks - between that and growing m out of her moses basket we've put her in a bigger crib in her own room last night and it was better for everyone. I still didn't sleep much more as I was constantly watching/ hearing out for the monitor haha but i knew I'd be wary the first night and will get used to it.

I understand moving them out at this age isn't for everyone though - just felt right for us now.

@Mcousin99 Omg tonight is the first night I’ve just had to resort to moving our 4.5month to his own room. I hope he sleeps so much better 😭 Does your baby wake for night feeds? We’ve had to introduce a 10/11pm dreamfeed to keep his nightfeeds to just one

Yeah she wakes for one or two depending on when the first one is. If the first is before 1am she'll almost definitely wake for a 2nd. She just can't quite manage more than 5-6 hrs solid yet!
