Hi Everyone my dd is 3 in January for last year and half she has been coming into my room at 1,2,3 etc in morning into my bed and will sleep quite well with me . She did go down in her cot around 8:30 no problem just put her in and she slept same with naps during day ! The last couple weeks she's been sick and just wanted in mummy's bed so I decided to put her into own bed but it has just been an absolute disaster getting her to sleep . She messes and takes over 1 hr to get her sleeping me staying with her .even when she wakes in her own room I'm still staying all night with her. Any ideas how to get her down to sleep easier she still naps but was never a problem when she was in her cot to get her to sleep.

It's hard to tell what the answer to this may be but her are some thoughts. It maybe that the timing is wrong if she has recently been unwell, she's perhaps feeling still a bit fragile so wants company and cuddles.

Going from a cot to a bed without sides may mean she is finding the novelty of being able to come into your bedroom fun so be firm and take her back to her room. Give her a good night cuddle and leave for your bedroom.

She may need to feel more secure with a side on the bed or push the bed into the corner of the room?

I'd suggest trying to drop the day time naps and see if that helps her sleep better at night.

There are several other threads on here about 'toddler bed' which could have some useful advice from other mum's on it.
