Sleeping bags UK

Just wondering what clothes do you put on a baby under a 2.5tog sleeping bag?

The room we sleep in is generally between 17 to 20 degrees at night and I have been dressing the baby in a short sleeve vest, a baby grow and the 2.5tog sleeping bag.

But I've just come across one or two guidelines that say if the baby is in the 2.5tog sleep bag and the room is around the temperature as above the baby should only be wearing a vest or sleepsuit. There doesn't seem to be much consistency with the guidelines so I'm finding it difficult to get a proper answer!

Baby doesnt feel hot at night when changing him to feed. Do I keep dressing baby the same or take the vest off at night?

At that temperature mine would be in just a sleepsuit and sleeping bag, although for first few weeks we did the same as you!

I usually use the tommee tippee chart as we have the temperature egg. It seems to have them dressed on the cooler side compared to other charts, but a cold baby is safer than a hot baby.

Thank you for your advice and the chart it has put my mind at ease a bit and we have lost the vest at night now 😊
