9 month old short wake windows

Everywhere I’ve been reading is saying my 9 month old should be on 2 naps and long wake windows. My little one is on 3, 2 longer naps and a 10-20 minute cat nap at 4 to get him through to bedtime. But his wake windows are only like 2.5 hours even the bedtime one! Does this sound normal? Worried im doing something wrong!

Both of mine were always ‘behind’ with dropping naps and always needed an extra compared with their peers
did them no harm and also gave me extra time in the day. I wouldn’t worry about it - everything is an average online and kids are so individual.

I doubt you are doing anything wrong. If she naturally needs 3 naps and short wake windows at this stage then I would go with that. 😊
If I look at the recommendations for my DD she would need shorter windows and this has been the case for last year or so. I just follow her cues and try not to worry about too many things.

I haven't even heard of wake windows up untill the past couple of years on mumsnet. My kids are still primary age too, so not like I did things completely differently. Just trust thst your baby needs this amount of sleep and they haven't read the book to know what they should be doing.

babies are different. Me and my friend have boys 1 day apart and there sleep needs are so different.

My baby has been on 3 naps for a while and hers still has 4 and showing no signs of dropping soon (6 months)
