6month sleep

My little one is 6months old now and has suddenly started waking every 45minutes at the start of sleep until about midnight and often every 2hours after midnight. She has always struggled to link sleep cycles in the day and is a chronic catnapper. However she used to sleep really well at night and would often wake and get herself back to sleep but not anymore. It's been about 2weeks now and I'm not sure what's going on. I'm also knackered as it's sometimes taking 60-90minutes to get her back to sleep when she wakes up about 3am. Not sure if it's the heat, teeth (she's had a front teeth popping through the gum for about 3days now) or something I'm getting wrong with sleep. We have started putting her down a little earlier about a month ago and coming downstairs with the baby monitor so maybe it's that also?

Does anyone have any experience of this? Will it go back to normal? Any tips for linking sleep cycles?

When we had the same thing we made sure she had a full belly, a clean nappy and had been show a lot of love before doing some gentle sleep training. We did the Ferber method, where we put her down and then left for 2 minutes. If she got upset, we returned and resettled (without picking up) and offered comfort. When then left for 3 minutes. If she still wasn't settling, then we resettled and did 4 minutes etc etc. we did it up to 20 minutes and then went back in every 20 mins. She very quickly learned to settle herself and she never cried for very long.
