Hiya lovelys can someone please help me.... My 8 month is not sleeping though the day and she is up every hour during the night..she cries everytime I leave the room.... I really need some help and advice before going to the doctors or health visitor... Me and my partner have tried everything with her... But she just seems to be getting worse.... Thank you so much in advance xx

Hiya! That sounds tough.

How active is she during the day? My son cracked crawling at 7 months, so he was busy around that time, and we also took him swimming. Activity seems to be absolutely key to getting him to nap longer, and the better we got his daytime naps, the better his nighttime sleep became.

She is really active though out the day she is trying to crawl she can get her knees up and she shakes her bum up and down.. She spends most of her time playing on the floor... She eats good 3 meals a day... She has even stopped having her naps in the afternoon as well now.... I try put her up about 11.30 to 12 and she just screams... She cries everytime I am not around... She used to be a good little sleeper from day one she has had her bedtime routine. She used to sleep from 7.30 till 7 in the morning but now she is up... About 7 to 8 times a night... I know it's not her fault but I'm a so tired and drained from this xx 🥺❤

I'd take her swimming if you can - my son seemed to have a big burst of crawling advancement the more he went.

All they do is splash their hands and kick their legs while you hold them, but my friend and I took two rotten sleepers and came back with two that suddenly cracked out 2h naps with ease. Which I think helped nighttime sleep.

My son is 7 months this Saturday and we are in the same boat. I can get him to have short 20/30 minute sleeps twice a day. Screeches when I'm out the room. My partner has just started doing night feeds and helping more as I'm so wrecked from the pressure and lack of sleep!
