Hello

Ftm and i need help im so so exhausted 😩 my baby is going to be 8 months on 25th and hes been a horrible night sleeper for about a month to a month and half, hes waking up multiple times not for milk just for comfort and im fine with but he keeps waking up between 2am-4am and staying up an hour to two, he'd just stay up playing around and babbling. I asked around and they said hes sleeping too much maybe in the day (we are on 3 nap schedule) so i need to transition into two naps and i did but hes not sleeping well at day eitherway only 1.5 hours maybe 2 hours sometimes.

I started the two nap schedule a couple days ago and he still waking up in the middle of the night for an 1-2hours, i pushed his bedtime to 6pm because his last nap is becoming at 3pm and hes getting really tired end of the day.

Any suggestions please😩😩😩

Oh bless you! My DD is 2.5 now and still not the greatest sleeper but I remember the wakes up where she wouldn't go back to sleep and they are a killer! The only advise I have is can you possibly nap in the day with him? I know it can feel like a time when you can have you time or get stuff done but believe me it really helps! X

I’m also a ftm to an 8 month old (and completely winging it) when we’ve had long wake ups at night I’ve found that so hard so feel for you!
It seems to happen for us if he has too much sleep in the day and occasionally when teething. We’ve also just switched to two naps and to begin with rather than bring bedtime earlier I did a 10-20 minute 3rd Power Nap to get him through to bedtime. As I said I’m winging it but incase any of that helps!

Google sleep regressions. Mine did this as well at around the same age and then again at 2. She had dropped to one nap by 12 months so your baby probably does need to settle into fewer naps. Tbh nothing I did made any difference at all. It will pass but it’s an awful stage. I really feel for you, I was exhausted. Just sleep whenever you can, I know what you need is unbroken sleep but any sleep will be helpful.

How long are the two naps? I've found that my son's sleep improved a lot when I got him doing 2x 60-90m naps instead of the 2h and 40m naps he was doing before.
