8 month sleep regression tips!

My DS (8 almost 9 months) is going through his 8 month sleep regression and looking for any advice or tips on how to handle it!

Fully aware that this is par for the course with babies, but as I am back at work, I want to try to ensure we are doing everything to get as much sleep all around as possible. Heading into the office today at 6am on about 30 mins of sleep so far and feeling guilty that I am going to be spending the night away so my DH will have to deal with DS on his own (but also equally relieved and looking forward to my sleep!!)

DS has been a fantastic sleeper from about 5 months and will either wake once or sleep through. He also seemed to skip the 4 month sleep regression as he just continued to wake 2/3 times a night from 3 to 5 months which was a godsend after the first 12 weeks. But he is now struggling to link sleep cycles, wakes up every 45-60mins and cries uncontrollably when he wakes.

He is on two naps a day and has been for months, his last nap tends to end around 3.30/4 and he goes to bed 3 hours later and settles like a dream. But 45 mins later he is pinging awake. During the night he will eventually fall deep asleep in our arms but as soon as we set him down he pings awake, instantly on his feet screaming. He settles for both of us but I normally do night waking as DH will get up early with DS so I can sleep more before starting work as I do normally WFH.

Sorry for the ramble but any tips welcome!
