Sudden change in ways??????

My nearly 14 week old ds has stopped putting himself to sleep both at naps and bedtime.

He was really good and always went off by himself really easy as long as he had his dummy. Now i have to rock him until he is pretty much soundo before i can put him down. He is waking early, after sleeping through for the last 4 weeks, and gets grumpy alot and wants holding alot which he never did before!!!!!!!!

Has anyone else experienced this kind of change?
What could it be? How can i get it back to how it was???????

My DS has had phases where he has found it difficult to settle. This was due to teething, growth spurt, illness, or just that his routine needed tweaking slightly. At about 5mo, i found he was just more alert and needed a longer wind-down. It might be that? He's now 9.5 mo and is having a difficult stage and we don't know why.

However, once he gets used to having help to go to sleep he then needs it more!

If you feel that there is nothing wrong with him, then you need to try and stop the rocking, which might mean a bit of protesting. But if he's settled himself before, that's a good sign.
