1 nap sleep transition and split nights

I'm really struggling at the moment

My then 15 month old started to refuse to go down for her second nap around 2 months ago. We gave it a few weeks, but then decided to transition her to 1 nap.

It started off well, but then started to experience split naps, waking up at around 2 and being awake for 2 or 3 hours. We went back to 2 naps for a few days, then tried again, first day of 1 nap she was fine, after 2 days she then had a split night again. We then tried putting her nap later (nap at around 12 30 for an hour / hour and half) asleep by 7.) but then same thing keep happening.

It's been a month and we are still trapped in this cycle, will give 2 naps one day (with us spending an hour to get her to sleep for a 20 minute afternoon nap) then try one nap for a day, she's fine that night, try it a second day and she has a split night, cycle starts again.

Weve even tried to alternate - 1 day 1 nap , then next 2 , but she didn't sleep well after that either 😭

I'm at my whits end, please help

Before anyone suggests a longer nap, we are really trying! But she's always been a short napper. An hour and a half is really the most I can get out of her, most of the time it's not even that 😭
