9 week old suddenly not napping?

Just that really. My DS (9 weeks tomorrow) had half his usual amount of sleep yesterday. Today he’s fallen asleep for about 5 minutes (4 times) and wakes up as soon as I put him down. But he’s oddly not even crying… He’s just cooing and smiling. Which is fine as he’s happy, but I’m a bit worried about him not sleeping?

He wakes every 2-3 hours at night too, so it isn’t like he’s getting lots of sleep at night.

Sounds like your baby is just becoming more aware of his surroundings and knows when he’s not close to you. Babies that she usually need closeness and motion to stay asleep. Try a sling if you can and you’ll probably find he sleeps a lot longer!

As they get older they will be awake a lot more if happy that is fine. Do you have a bouncy chair they are great as they can have a look around. it is portable so can be moved anywhere in the house.
