Getting 9m to self soothe

Hello

My 9m old currently has a bottle to fall asleep or else lots of rocking/walking till she sleeps..
How do I get her to self soothe herself to sleep?
Any tips would be appreciated 😮‍💨

Feed / rock but not until full asleep. Put down sleepy but not asleep. Then you can gradually put down when they're more awake.

Put her in her cot whilst she's awake and soothe that way by stroking her hair, holding her hands until she's comfortable with this and then reduce bit by bit. We started doing this with our little one when he went into his own room at six months, he's nearly eight months old now and we just put him in his cot with a kiss and a "love you, goodnight" and he chatters himself to sleep within a few minutes! It also really seems to have helped the quality of his naps as now if he wakes up too early he is able to put himself back to sleep and wake up fully rested

I'm in a similar boat to you. On holiday atm but want to get him in his own room and to be able to self settle at night. Atm he's bed sharing with us which I absolutely hate but because I'm bfing him it's just been easier all round. Contemplating sleep training but he's such a sensitive soul I don't want to cause him any upset.
