I have a 15 month old I may have made a rod for my own back but hes always been fed and cuddled to sleep at night and placed in his cot , he used to stay asleep from 830 till 5 am but has recently started waking where I would get him out and hed fall asleep on me straight away but will wake soon as hes put down , once placed on my bed he also falls straight to sleep im not sure if this is a separation anxiety thing as in the day when at home he will cry when I leave the room. He used have a 2 hour nap after lunch but has started having 15 minutes then crashing at 3 for 2 hours, he will nap independently in the day. He has a dummy and 2 soft comfortors he takes to bed and for naps . Im not sure if this is regression or separation anxiety. He goes to nursery where I work but in a different room but seems fine in the day there. Any advice will be appreciated thankyou

Do you have a partner OP who can take over bedtimes/getting up for a while to wean him off you a bit? If you’re a single mum this will be harder of course. Although at 15 months he is still young so you can change habits - I wouldn’t worry he won’t be like this when he is 6.

If this is a recent change could he be in some kind of pain? Sick or Teething maybe? My lo was a bit constipated recently and we had a full week of her up and down all night, the doctor gave her a laxative and she started sleeping through again. Is there anything you could do to prolong that 15 minute nap he’s having? It could stop the long afternoon nap. My lo will sleep really well in the pram or the car, doesn’t nap great in her cot

When were at home he will nap in his pram he likes the motion to send him off at nursery he will sleep in the cot if I try him in the cot in the day he will cry but goes off soon as hes in his pram. He has just cut his bottom molars through and coming out the other end of a cold. His lunch time nap he wakes cries putting his arms out until hes picked back up last week hed have his big nap after lunch and none after that until bed time.

I do have a partner but I have always done bed time and the night feeds since LO was born its not the sleep deprivation thats bothering me LO has an unsettled day after a bad nights sleep.
