We went on a static caravan holiday last week, first 2 nights our son slept fine. Night 3 and 4 he woke up at 3am screaming and crying. I slept in caravan bedroom so he would go back to sleep. First 3 nights home he slept fine. Last 2 nights he's woke up screaming at 4am wanting a book read to him (part of night time routine) first night I would not read him a book I sat by his bed for 30 mins until he went to sleep then 30 mins later he was awake screaming again. Husband went in read him a book and then he stayed asleep until 7am. Second night I just put the baby monitor on for 5 months old in my bedroom and slept on floor in his bedroom until 6am when baby woke up.

Any advice on how to stop him screaming for a book/ had a nightmare at 4 am.
