My DS is 2 years and 8 months. For the last few week he has been waking at 5/5.30am.

HE had previously slept all night until around 7/7.30 for a year but has recently been waking through the night screaming hysterically and since then the early wakes have begun.

Currently his routine is

Wakes 5.30ish
Breakfast 6.30/7am
Lunch 11.30am
Dinner 5pm
Bath 6pm
Up to bed at 6.30 to sleep for 7

He point blank refused to nap from around 6 months ago.

Any help to improve these early wakings and occasional night wakings would be fab

I have a DD who is 2 yrs 5 months. She is not a good sleeper but she wakes between 7-7:30am. She is a nursery 8:30am-6pm so dinner is naturally later - 6:45pm earliest. We start bedtime at 7:45pm & she is usually asleep by 8:30pm. She usually naps 1-2:30pm, or slightly later. You could try shifting everything back a bit?

I think he sounds like he could be over tired and would bring bedtime earlier. It will take a while to adjust.

Dinner 4pm
Bath 5pm (if you must- we only do 2 a week)
Up to bed at 5:30, in bed at 6
