Hello,
Dramatic I know, but my 12 month old wakes up every night, often around 2am but often much earlier. He has a lovely, calm bath and bedtime routine which myself and dad generally do together. One of us will settle him with cuddles and put him into his cot once he’s asleep. He wakes up every night, every single night and cries until we go to him and he will not go back into his cot, if we try to put him down he screams the house down until we get him back out. Inevitably, this means he ends up in bed with us as we are all exhausted (both working and I’m pregnant again…).
Im here to crowd source some solutions! Advice welcome! TIA

Put a mattress on the floor in his room and when he screams, daddy comes and sleeps in the same room with him.

12 months is very young in loads of cultures for a child to sleep in a room on their own especially all night.

I know plenty of siblings who until the age of about 8, even though they could have separate bedrooms slept in the same room.

No advice. My 1 year old demands to get in bed at 11pm every night. She also insists on gripping my arm (suspect to prevent me escaping) for the rest of the night.

Older child was in his own room at 5 months. Usually stays in there.
DH is in the spare room. No choice but to stay in there as for a small person she takes up a lot of bed.
Second attempt at getting her in with big brother this week because I go back to work soon and need my bed back 😂
