2 day old is sleeping during day and awake at night. she really just wants to suck and sleep at the moment, and cries when she isn't doing one of those things. Arghh - how do you keep a baby awake during the day?

You can't! She's only 2 days old after all.

Can you slepp when she does? It's be mad not to - unless you've got loads of others and no help!

Hello and CONGRATULATIONS!!!
My DD was like this when we brought her home (4 weeks now!). Was a shock as DS had the whole day and night thing sussed from the word go. We just did all the classic keeping things dark and quiet for the night feeds, not talking to her etc and TRIED to keep her awake a bit during the day! Anyway, she seems to have sorted it out now (touch wood!!) and we haven't had a wide awake in the night baby for 2 weeks....just the 2.5 hourly feeds to get sorted out now!!
