11 week old sleep regression?

Hello all! My 11 week old has gone from sleeping 2hr stints (night and day naps) to waking every 45mins. He will sleep longer for contact naps- it’s leaving me with a very grumpy baby! We have tried putting down drowsy but awake but this just wakes him up. Could this be the 4month sleep regression come early? He drifts straight back off when picked up! Any advice welcomed thanks!

I wouldn’t focus too much on ‘regressions’. This is just normal baby behaviour

@Seed90 any ideas on getting the longer stretches of sleep back? 🤣

The regression can come early and it sounds very much like it. Many of them get through it in 2 - 6 weeks, hopefully yours will. Mine never did so we sleep trained at 6.5 months but many don't have to do that.

@teaandkittehs thank you! It definitely sounded like it but I wasn’t sure if they could go through it at 10 weeks. Fingers crossed it’s two weeks rather than 6! X

@DenzelsDream thank you! I think around this time is when the sleep cycles mature from 45mins to 2 hours so finger crossed he gets back to sleeping soon!
