Early morning wakes - 6 months old

Been solidly on 3 naps for around 2 weeks, which has helped lengthen his naps.
DWT is 7 but would happily accept 6:30
WW - 2/2.5/2.5/2.75. This is what we found helped with getting the longer naps.
Bedtime is usually around 7/7:30pm but recently he has been wide awake anywhere from 4:45-5:50am. This morning was 5:10. He has a feed usually between 3-4:30am so it can’t be hunger waking him up. Any advice? Do we need to drop to 2 naps already?

Hi EHC,

You’re doing an amazing job!

My son is about the same age and is exactly the same in terms of early morning wakes.

I know lots of people tell you babies need 12 hours of sleep at night, but that just doesn’t seem to be the case with my son.

Things I’ve done that have had no effect (!!), try for a later bedtime, gently stretch wake windows, try to settle without feeding, etc etc. I share this as I have reached the conclusion with my gorgeous son that this is just where he’s at developmentally.
