My DS2 is almost 7 weeks old. He is a good weight and is putting on weight well. He feeds about every 3 to 4 hours through the day.
At night he sleeps in a moses basket beside my bed. he sleeps really well, and has been on average waking up every 4 to 5 hours for feeding and then settles really well afterwards back to sleep.
Recently though he has started to wake up after 4 or so hours and just lie there snuffling, having a good kick about and making little happy squeak noises and sucking his hand.

Not sure whether to feed him when he wakes like that, even though he is happy to be left or whether to leave him (he can kick about on his own for up to 2 hours!) to encourage him to go longer at night and take more of his milk in the day??

The other thing is that he wakes me up with his little noises and I cant sleep all the time he is awake! So I am also wondering if its time to put him in his own room and then I wouldnt hear him until he did cry and I will know he definitely wants feeding...? Seems quite young to be in a different rom though. Didnt move DS1 into his own room until he slept all night...

I would say don't feed him as you will be just setting up an association. He will tell you if he is hungry. Also, leave him in with you as per the SIDS guidelines.
