I need some help! My 14 month old will sleep all night in my bed no wake ups and will sleep through the night. However whenever he’s in his cot he wakes the same time everytime around 12 and will not settle until he’s in my bed. As soon as he’s in my bed and his head hits the pillow he’s straight to sleep no wake ups. How can i get him to sleep all night in his own bed?!

Is there a noise he can hear from his room but not from yours? Eg a car starting up.

No not that i know off, i definitely don’t hear it. however its just that it’s the same time everynight he is waking up crying and he just won’t settle in his own cot until he’s in my bed. However if he sleeps with me which i do sometimes just put him in my bed at the beginning of the night when we have to be up for something the next morning he will just sleep through no night wakings. At first i thought he was waking through habit but surely if it was habit he would wake up even in my bed? i just dont know how i can get him sleeping through like he does with me but in his own cot

I had the same with my 18 month old Son. My friend recommended Denzel's Dream which is ran by a psychologist specialising in sleep and she managed to stop it. My son's was because he actually had an upset tummy from food we were giving him so bit different from yours. But I definitely think she would be able to help. I've suggested her to a few friends now who have all had success. Hope it gets better soon!

Do you go to him when he wakes up? Or do you let him get himself back to sleep?

It could be that he wakes up when he's in with you too but goes back to sleep because you're there.

I wait a few minutes before i go in to see if he will settle himself back to sleep, but he doesn’t it turns into screaming and he gets himself all worked up but as soon as he’s in my bed he’s straight off to sleep. I’m sort of at a loss now as he’s fine going to sleep in his own bed he has a little cry but he self settles and sleeps up until that point at aroun 12/12:30 and it’s that time every night
