hi, for the past month+ my daughter has been waking up 1:30 every night and not going back down for usually around 2 hours. At first she just wakes and wants to start playing but then by the end of it she is in tears as she’s tired and can’t get to sleep. Her sleep before was OK, had to go in a few times for an odd dummy replug but she was never fully awake. Bedtime routine is get in pjs, story, bottle and bed (we don’t do bath often because of eczema).

She’s on 2 naps per day and naps anywhere from 1.5-3 hours.

anyone have any tips or can tell me this is just a very long phase?

thanks,

Is something waking her? Noise from neighbour or street?
My neighbour's radio alarm woke my son every single morning at 4 am. It was right next to the adjoining wall. The neighbour wasn't staying overnight in his property but had left the alarm set so it was buzzing right against the wall for 10 minutes every single morning. He was a selfish, ignorant man, so we had to put up with it until he moved out.

I think you might have to cut one of the naps shorter, sorry!. At that age mine had about 30 mins in the morning and then a big lunchtime nap.

If nothing is waking her and she's just in the habit, try doing a rest.

20 minutes before her usual wake time, very gently slightly stir her. Just enough to bring her out of her sleep cycle but not enough to wake her fully. She'll enter a new sleep cycle and will sleep through the habitual wake time. Takes about 3 nights to work.

My DD dropped her second nap around 12 months old. Just pushed her morning nap to lunch time and then she’s awake till bed. When I get a split night now it’s because she’s slept longer than 2 hours in the day(she’s now 15 months). Your DD’s sleep needs might be changing and she’s getting too much day sleep.
