My DS is 5.5 mo old and is still taking short naps, we are really struggling getting him down to 3 naps a day otherwise bedtime would be around 5pm which is not going to happen.
Does anyone else’s 5 month old do the same and how do you manage short naps, what does your schedule look like?

We still had short naps some days at that age. Some days would be longer. I think it's common when transitioning to longer and less naps to still have short naps some day. Short naps days we needed 4 naps and long nap days only 3. No schedule just took time, but my girl is a terrible sleeper anyway.

Short naps a really common when babies are so young. Their sleep cycle is around 40 minutes and lots of babies just struggle to get themselves into the next cycle. How does your baby get to sleep? Do you rock? Wear? Shush or pat? Feed? If so try doing that again when they start stirring or waking and sometimes you can help them to get into their next cycle and get another 40 minutes or so!
