Hi,

i have a little boy who is 10 months at the end of this month and we are currently having real issues at bedtime.

he is visibly tired and struggling to stay awake but when I take him to bed he becomes full of life and cry’s so much at the thought of going to sleep. It takes a good few hours to get him to sleep for him to then wake up an hour later.

he is in his own room, has been since 6 months with no issues but now it seems I can’t leave his room without him sobbing.

he has a nightlight in there with white noise, blinds are black out and it’s a nice temperature for him so I’m really not sure what is causing his sleep issue.

anyone else experience this at his age? Also any tips?

thank you

it may be separation anxiety… he just wants you there. Baby sleep isn’t linear and sometimes you might feel you’ve progressed but then something else comes along. Support him through it as best you can. Hope it gets easier!
