I haven't slept more than 2 hours in a row since October

He's never slept more than two hours in a row. Often much less.

And in the last few days he's been getting up around 5:30 for the morning. Today he got up at 4:45.

Not really asking for advice - no-one has been able to help. Just want to vent. Just want someone to tell me it gets better.

The exhaustion is crippling me. My first was a bad sleeper so I was prepared for sleep deprivation but nothing on this level.

I feel broken.

Oh you poor love!

Would you consider a sleep consultant?
What does he do when he wakes?

I had 2 like this - DS1 and DS3 were truly awful.

some things:

  1. it WILL get better. This is not forever. It seems like it, it feels like it, but I promise you it’s not.
  2. are you breastfeeding? Just because this impacts on your tag teaming options! If no, then swap, one night on, one night off. If yes, then co sleep. And co sleep with your boobs out! You need to be able to latch them on without really waking up 😂 if you don’t need to get out of bed it feels so much better
  3. you need a chunk of sleep. Can your DP/ DH pick up the kids, put them in the car at 5am on Saturday, drive around / drive somewhere and leave you to it for 5 hours. It’s light. McDonald’s breakfast, hit the park early.
