Longer naps, should I be worried?

Now don't get me wrong, my 19mo has been a shit sleeper from day 1 so I know that it sounds weird to even ask that question. He's recently dropped to 1 1hr nap a day from doing 2 30min naps a day. All fine, he doesn't need as much sleep as average😒 but for the past week he's been sleeping for 2.5-3 hours and Im just so bloody unsure if I should jump for joy or be getting him checked out tbh😂 has anyone else had the same thing happen and knows what it is. Thanks in advance for any replies

Probably a growth spurt. My little one always sleeps more when he's growing. If he's still going to bed ok then go with it. Also one nap a day is much more "normal" at his age so probably getting better sleeping longer periods too. Enjoy the break!

@Springadorable he went through a growth spurt a few weeks ago and it was a big one😂 I'm hoping it's just the heat or something

Both of mine started consolidating their sleep cycles better around 18 months. They had amazing 3 hour naps at that stage (one of them had been a serial cat napper). I'd say if he otherwise seems well then enjoy the rest!

@ZuliKyanLarsFoz oooh I hope that's it. I feel like with the sleep deprivation I've gone through, I deserve a break 😆
