18 month old sleep schedule

What's everyone's 18 month olds sleep like?

Mine wakes at 8, naps 1-2:30 and then bed at 8:30 but she's constantly grumpy and tired with mega tantrums because of it. Especially by bedtime. I'm reluctant to give her a longer nap because we already get a split night about once a week.

With an 8 week old as well I'm desperate to sort her sleep

I think her bedtime is too late and her nap too short. At 18m my DC had two naps and afternoon nap was 2 hours. Bedtime was 7.00/7.30pm ish. I would at least let her have 2 hour nap.

my 8 year old goes to bed at 8.30, my 3 year old at 7.30pm.

Agree bedtime sounds late and nap time short.

My youngest is 17 months. He goes to bed at 7, is asleep for 7:15. Wakes around 6:00/6:30. Usually naps around 11-1 or 12-2 depending what we’re doing. I feel your pain RE split nights as we had a spate of them a couple of months ago where he was up between 1 and 4 every night. It settled until recently he’s been doing it again once or twice a week it’s hell. I don’t change his routine or anything though other than he might have a slightly earlier nap because they do stop doing it eventually and I don’t want to be messing about with new routines.

17 month old wakes at 6:30/7. Has a nap from about 12:30 - 2:30. Bath and books at 7:00, asleep by 7:30.

Thank you everyone.

We've managed to get bedtime from 10pm to 8:30 so I'll keep bringing it earlier till we're 7-7:30.

She still gets a good 11 hours sleep a night when it's a normal night but hopefully the earlier bedtime will help.

I'll try a 2 hour nap tomorrow and see how she goes. Wish me luck😬

People saying bedtime too late but 11 hours sleep seems normal - it's a late wake up compared to most so that seems ok?

Mine is 13 months and does wake 6.30/7 (we stick some toys in and leave him in bed playing til 7 though if possible which is very quiet relaxed time for him. Nap 12-1.30 or longer (we wouldn't wake him up - he sometimes does 3
2+ hours). Bedtime varies a bit depending on how tired he is, but is about 7.30 on average. We've been known to put him to bed at 6.30 if needed though. Equally he sometimes won't sleep til 9.
