Are short naps a problem?

I have a 4 month old who is a dream sleeper at night (so far….). She sleeps 8pm - 11pm when we give her a dream feed, then 11pm till 8:30am.

All good!

However she has 4 naps a day and 3 of those are 30 mins exactly. (Doesn’t matter if it’s in the pram, in the cot, on me, it will be 30 mins).

I have no problem with this at all, but everything online seems to suggest short naps are ‘bad’ and need to be longer.

Is it actually an issue (as we’re both happy!) or can I just carry on?

Short naps perfectly normal at that age, will naturally begin to drop no of naps & join into a longer nap themselves. TBH if your happy & most would be with a great overnight sleep then don't worry about what anyone else thinks!
My 2 DS had long daytime naps & rubbish nighttime sleeps till about 3yrs. DD never had long day naps & dropped them fairly early but she did sleep all night from every early & I know which I preferred!!

@Bibbitybobbity70 thank you! Yeh I have no problems with them at all, and baby is very chilled out, but everything I read seems to suggest it’s ‘bad’ so just wanted to make sure I’m not missing anything!

Im definitely enjoying the longer night sleep (while it lasts…!)

There is no evidence that short naps are a problem and I think they're very normal in younger babies especially. My daughter didn't start having longer naps until she dropped down to 2 naps a day at around 6 or 7 months and that's quite common from what I hear.

I'm answer, no it's not a problem.
