Back up comforter

My DD has a bunny comforter that helps her sleep. Once she got attached to it we bought a spare but I have no idea now how to introduce that one. I've slept with it a couple of nights but I feel like she'll know it's not her bunny

Have I missed the boat in being able to introduce a spare?

How old is she?
We had 4 for DS & would just swap them about when they needed washing, which was often as he sucked an ear. Maybe swap in when she’s sleeping so she wakes with the new one.

Introduce it as soon as possible, and rotate between them so they both get worn out a similar amount. The longer you leave it, the more difference the will be between the well loved one and the new one.
