Sleep Anxiety

Hello All,

Just looking for some advice as we don't know where to go really.

Our son 10 years old has really bad anxiety going to sleep. He basically stays up as late as he can as he keeps saying he is scared.
He's told me that he has watched a you tube video at my in laws about someone breaking into the house.

Ever since then we have had this problem.

He use to sleep under his mid sleeper bed but he's too big now and keeps hurting himself so we have had to put him back into the bed properly. On his proper mattress. We can't remove his bed as we need a mid sleeper to be in his room due to space. We need the space under the bed for a chest of draws and his drawing desk.

We have installed a security curtain and given him everything he has asked for, but he is still really bad at sleeping.

We follow routine, have sleeps sounds, essentials.oils....the list goes on really. We go around the house before bedtime and lock the doors with him, reassure him where we are and that he is safe.

He keeps asking to go back under his bed, but logistcally it doesn't work anymore. I also can't have a 10 year old sleeping in my bed, as then I don't get sleep.

Does anyone have any advice. No judgement please we are just really struggling at the moment.
