Hi everyone,

DD1 (2 years old) is a thumb sucker. We tried giving her the dummy at 3 months but she never took it. She moved into her own room at 6 months and with some sleep training she started sleeping through the night but found comfort in her thumb.

We decided to give DS2 (7 months) a dummy a lot sooner and he took it well, we only use it for naps and bedtime, occasionally the car. He'll move to his own room this week and are we will start sleep training.

DDs thumb is ruined and I'm worried about her teeth, and with DS moving into his own room would mean me going in middle of the night if the dummy falls out.

Please share your tips of weaning the kids off both thumb sucking and the dummy. What age did you try? Thanks
