Split nights 20 months

DS is nearly 20 months, eats well, doesn’t stop moving/charging around, only on one nap.
He is cutting his final back molars currently (feels like he has been forever!). He’s been having huge poos when he wakes up too so I suspect teething poos!

He has been having split nights normally 5 nights a week for 3 weeks now, sometimes every night, but at random times (can be awake at midnight, or 2am or 5am) and can be awake anywhere from 30 mins to 2 hours at a time. He is generally just chatting to his soft toys in his cot, but recently he’s been whinging and getting whiny in his sleep.

He doesn’t sleep more than 1.5 hours during the day (usually less on nursery days, from 11.45-1.45 latest), wakes around 6.30am and bedtime is 7-7.30pm.
He has a good big snack or meal when he gets back from nursery so he’s not hungry.

I don’t know what else I could be doing to try and stop this? Could it be teething related or can I change anything?

I am in the exact same boat apart from the fact that my ds is 22 months and I think there is separation anxiety playing a role as he's been much trickier to put to sleep and his naps have also decreased. He also doesn't play in his bed, he is either silent for 10/15 minutes and then call me "mummy mummy" standing in his bed like a little meerkat.
I haven't tried to take him into my bed but out of desperation I think I will try tonight as soon as far I have always tried and get him to go back to sleep in his bed.
How is it going for you?

It’s still either split nights or early wakes! This morning was 5.25am, he went to sleep at 7.40pm and had an hour and a quarter nap yesterday.
It is so draining knowing every night will either be broken sleep or a mega early morning.
His last bottom molars just seem to be breaking through so I’m really hoping when they finally emerge it will get better…?
