My one year old has never been a good sleeper at night but naps have always went well well today I'm think is he ready for just 1
Nap as that's him just falling asleep Me as his last nap ended at 5:30.
Today has went. He woke up at 8 napped from 11:10 to 12:33 and then again from 4:43-5:32.
and i just got him asleep about 10 minutes ago. I still need to lie with him doesn't really self settle. Any tips or ideas welcome. X

Try pushing his first nap a bit later, let him have his lunch around 11:30am to 12pm, and after that he can go down for a nap. That way, if he does become tired in the evening, you can go straight to bedtime routine. I find that if kids sleep after 3pm, it’s nearly impossible to get them down for the night before 10pm.
As for self soothing, try introducing a comforter, muslin cloth, soft toy, dummy… Lay your LO down, and gently stroke his eyebrows, or run the finger down his nose.

At 1 he is totally fine for 1 nap after lunch. Don't let him nap after 4pm I'd say

Sorry I meant 3pm, his one nap should ideally be 12-1 or 12-2, sometimes when they drop to 1 nap it becomes one mega nap
