How much sleep do you get

I have a toddler and a 4 month old and I would say I get at least 6 hours a night, at the very most 7-8 hours which I think is pretty decent but I still feel absolutely exhausted every day. No health problems to blame, not depressed just genuinely feel like I don't get enough sleep

Is that uninterrupted sleep?

I get about 6-8 hours but it's fragmented. I'd take a solid 4 hours over my current sleep any day.

6 hours is a good night for me, always at least one wake up in that too

devildeepbluesea · 04/03/2024 21:38

Around 7-7.5hrs, at least 1 wake up. I’m 51 but I’ve woken in the night since my 20s. DD always slept well so aside from the newborn weeks she didn’t impact on that really.

SallyWD · 04/03/2024 21:56

I think probably around 7 hours a night. I usually wake up in the night and it takes me a while to get back to sleep. I always feel like I need more and I'm always tired!

Littleoldme12 · 04/03/2024 22:05

I think that's really good with two young ones, especially if uninterrupted. My two year old has never been a "good" sleeper and still wakes regularly two or three times a night. I would say I get 6 or 7 but always broken up.

Average of 5 hours interrupted, 3 sen children 2 of them never sleep through and are often awake long periods in the night I've learned to adapt mostly however on bad nights of 30 mins sleep or less I function in a weird zombie state for a bit, feels like I'm playing a computer game.

3-6 hours due to awful nerve pain at night. Been like that for the past six years at least.
I am permanently tired.

Queen0fEverything · 04/03/2024 22:16

I usually wake up around 4-5am to give the baby a bottle and fall back asleep relatively quick, my toddler has type 1 diabetes so some nights we have to wake him if he's having low glucose and give him some juice and it takes ages for him to go back to sleep and sometimes wakes the baby.

3-4hrs every single night. I haven’t had a lie in for over 3 years. I’m way past being exhausted.
