Using cottage cot when going away.

We've booked a cottage for a summer holiday with our babe who will be just 1 when we go. The cottage details say there is a cot available. We're not sure whether to take a punt and use that or take our travel cot.

She doesn't sleep very well in the travel cot and it would save space in the car if we didn't have to take it but just wondering what other people's experiences are of using cots in holiday cottages second hand mattresses etc etc?

would you consider using it but taking your own sheets or even the mattress from the travel cot to put ontop of the cottage's cot?
