No more night dummy - 3 years old

Hi!
So I have finally taken the plunge and got rid of my daughter's dummy. She only used it to fall to sleep (but she has just turned 3 eeek!)

We wrapped it up as a "present" for a new baby in the family.

However getting her to settle down at night has been hard work, we are on night number 6 tonight and she's up and down so much until she eventually falls to sleep saying she needs a wee, she is cold, she wants socks on....she doesnt want socks on, crying at us not to leave her.
She hasn't asked for her dummy but clearly has some anxiety now about bedtime!

I've even raised my voice tonight in a hope to make her stop and now I just feel so bad!

Please tell me this gets easier!

Maybe for the time being stay in her room until she drifts off. And then move away gradullay each night. This is a gentle sleep training method I know some used.
