Wind or mucus?

Hello everyone, looking for advice please! My 7 week old seems to struggle when laying on her back at night, she sounds so nasally like she's full of mucus at the back of her throat and nose, that's the only way I can describe it. She's thrashing about like she's struggling to breathe and I can hear it bubbling away but as soon as I pick her up it clears. I know she hasn't got a cold as I'm pretty sure it wouldn't clear like that! She sounds completely clear when upright on me then as soon as I put her back down, after about 10 mins, the bubbling phlegmy sound begins again. Could this be wind? Any advice? I'm exhausted!

I think this is normal- my baby is the same. Does it sound like you have a gremlin in your bedroom? Newborns make noises in their sleep- grunting, breathing fast and slow and they thrash about moving during REM sleep. I've been told they grow out of it around 3 months old

Look up active sleep OP.

Hi, I’m having the exact same issue with my 7 week old daughter! Definitely mucus and not active sleep - can tell the difference. Did you ever find a solution? I’m thinking eucalyptus diffuser..?
