my baby is almost 5 months and (i think) has just come through the dreaded sleep regression.

the problem is that i was feeding him back to sleep everytime he woke during the regression ( as it was about 15 times per night!) and now every time he wakens he needs to latch on to get back to sleep.

any tips on how to break this habit? we are currently cosleeping anyway but im scared im going to smother him plus im absolutely exhausted with the constant wakening. HELP!

Edit : i have had no luck in giving him a dummy, he just spits it straight back out (

Literally could have written this myself!! I'm in exactly the same position with same age baby. It's exhausting isn't it. No advice I'm afraid but just to say you're not on your own! Last night I fed him around 1am but he didn't go back to sleep, he wanted to stay on the boob like I normally let him but I need to get out of this habit. So I lay him in his cot wide awake, he didn't cry but just murmured a bit and then was awake kicking and shuffling around until 3am 🙄 BUT he got himself to sleep in his cot! So I know he can do it now, I'm going to try and do this when he wakes up. Maybe feed but just for a few mins and then put down. That might be no help to you at all! But just thought I'd share my experience x
