Naps during the day

I have a 7 week old who sleeps really well at night time and will only wake up once for a feed. She sleeps next to my bed in her Moses basket and I can either put her down asleep or if she is not yet asleep she will stir for a while but then fall asleep by herself. We sleep with all the lights off and with white noise. However during the day I cannot get her to stay asleep unless I’m holding her! If I notice she is tired or does fall asleep on me, I try to transfer her into her cot that we have down in the living room and she will either wake after a couple of minutes or wakes straight away. I try patting her and stroking her face but she fights it and then is wide awake. I don’t mind contact napping but sometimes I would just like a moment to myself or to get things done! And I am also aware that they should sleep and nap in the same room as you until 6 months so have been hesitant to put her down for a nap upstairs. Does anyone have any advice or ideas? Thank you x

Is the cot much bigger than the moses basket?
My daughter only slept in her moses basket or pram..smaller space.. we used to put the moses basket into the cot .

Yeah it’s much bigger than the Moses basket but I could give that a try for now, thank you! She will be grown out of her Moses basket pretty soon and will be buying a next to me crib so wanted to get her used to it but willing to try anything at this point!

It’s harder for some babies to sleep during the day because it’s lighter, noisier and there is more exciting stuff going on. Plus their sleep pressure isn’t as high so sleep can be tough.
Try the Moses basket like PP suggests but if it doesn’t work, I’d look at getting a sling. You can probably get a few bits done while she sleeps in there instead!
