10 week old's sleep in the evening

Hello
We're struggling atm to read when 10 week old is tired, overtired or undertired.

Atm wake and nap periods are roughly like:

7am awake
8am nap
12pm awake
1.30pm nap
4pm awake
5.30pm nap

And then it all goes wrong. He wakes after an hour, which is fine, but then we can't get him back to sleep at all. The tired cues don't seem to work. He seems really awake but cranky and sounds tired and upset all evening. Despite trying after 1hr or 1hr 15 and so on, on different evenings, we can't seem to find the right sleep time for the next party of the evening.

We don't care if it's just for a nap and not a bed time so to speak. He was awake from 7pm until 12.30am last night and so so tired and so upset 😴😕

So to get an idea of where we're going wrong, how many wake windows did your 10 week old have each day? And how long did their naps last for? Did this change in the evening?

Thank you

Also do you have any tips on getting them to sleep in the evening? We have tried everything but hoping someone might say something we haven't tried

It is really common for such young babies to be awake all evening, are you able to just hold him and get on with watching TV etc? Probably wants to know you are there. If bf-ing, just let him feed as much as he wants to.

I'll be honest, I think all that 'wake windows' stuff is just pointless pressure at this age. They are completely bloody random and it all works out in the end!

So my advice is to just let it go for now. I do remember how knackering it was Flowers
