Help getting 11mo to nap in cot

Ok so DD is a contact napper and always has been. She used to sleep in pram or the car but now will no longer do this. It was fine, I didn't mind it and sometimes had to rock her a bit but nothing major. However now she's decided that she won't be rocked, she'll only feed to sleep if really really tired and my back can't take any more rocking etc!!

Past week I've managed to feed her to sleep and put her in her cot a few times but she'll only do this if majorly overtired and wakes up screaming after a sleep cycle.

At bedtime she goes to bed awake and goes straight to sleep, no issues. In the day however, if I so much as dare put her in her cot awake she screams the house down. If I sit with her she plays around and thinks it's funny, no amount of shushing, patting etc will settle her and if I leave the room she screams and gets in a complete state.

How can I make this better? I would really like for her to nap in her cot now if possible.

I've also tried dropping her to 1 nap which helps with her going off easier as she was fighting two like mad and only ending up with 1 anyway..!
